If you love music from the 70s, 80s and up till today you'll love Melodikats.
Eddy King is keyboardist and vocalist. His wife, Vonda, also joins the group as a vocalist. They met when both sang in a gospel group. Vocalist Tim Martin is blessed with an incredible voice. He’s known for singing jingles on radio and television commercials. Now he performs both lead and background vocals for the Melodikats.
Bassist Mike Walker started out playing percussion in school. He learned to play several instruments before falling in love with the bass. Drummer Steve Kesler started playing drums professionally in his mid-twenties. After a stint with Eddy King in a country band called Crooked Creek Review, Steve played drums at churches in the Mountain Home area.
Pete Adams plays electric mandolin, melodica and sings vocals. After touring with a group that opened for stars such as Merle Haggard, Earnest Tubb and Jerry Lee Lewis, Pete moved to the Mountain Home area and joined the Melodikats, whose namesake reflects Pete’s latest instrument of choice, the melodica.
Rob Styer has loved guitar since 1963, the year he heard the Beatles for the first time. In high school he got the opportunity to open for largely popular bands such as The Doors, Ten Years After, Jethro Tull and a slew of others. He’s toured all over the United States before moving to Arkansas and joining the Melodikats.
“This band is where I live,” said Rob Styer. “There’s nothing like that kind of musicianship.”
Don't forget about our local Farmer's Market, our 2015 Anniversary t-shirt and great door prizes, like a Subway gift card and brunch for two at Gastons.
